Morimoto Napa

This design of this restaurant for celebrity "Iron Chef" Morimoto in Napa, California combines subtle Japanese elements with influences taken from the local winemaking region.  As the San Francisco Chronicle put it:  "The chairs are sleek and modern, as are the tabletops and floors, but the designers have also added splashes of bright yellow in a tufted lounge sofa and on the taxicab-colored French chairs...Yet the designers are smart enough to subtly reference its location while maintaining the sleek, urban Japaese sensibility.  Bleached and gnarled ancient grapevines snake behind the bar and on a wall in the dining room... not like anywhere else in Napa."  For more behind-the-scenes info and insights into our design process, see the Case Study in our Dine section!
